Birthday Wishes!

Colby's 10th birthday party at the firestation! Thanks to everyone who came! It was fun!

The Bear Lake tournament!

They took first place in their division at the tournament in Bear Lake! They were all very excited! It was very HOT!!

Calf Roping!

Grandpa helping Colby rope! He gets really nervous! He's on KC the horse that I usually rope off of and he told me I'll just watch you rope today mom! I told him that I was there to watch him rope, he's so funny! I asked him why don't you want to rope? He finally told me because when the horse stops hard I get the saddle horn in "not a good spot" is what he told me! It was funny! His dad told him that he will learn fast to sit down after you rope!

Getting everything just right! He sat in the box so long that KC fell asleep!

On this calf he got out ran! He is learning that it is a lot different on a horse than it is on the ground! He is having a hard time controlling the horse and roping all at once! But I'm sure he'll get it!

We had our first Allstar games over the holiday weekend in Driggs, Idaho! We barrowed Dayna and Trevor's camper and camped out on the football field, it was actually a lot of fun! The boys kinda had a hard weekend but I think that they had fun! Luckily it really wasn't that hot! Here are some pictures of the tournaments! They played 3 games on Friday and 1 game on Saturday morning!

The kids decided that they wanted to help plant the garden this year!

Lilly 2

Shelby likes Lisa's bird so much that for Christmas last year Santa brought her a toy bird. She named it Lilly after Lisa and Matt's bird! We went to stay with Lisa and brought Lilly 2, Lilly the first didn't like Lilly the 2nd! She jumped off her perch! This is Wyatt with Lilly 2!

It took a bribe of 10 bucks from Aunt Lisa, but Colby finally held Lisa's bird Lilly! It was only for 2 seconds though, right after I took the picture he practically shoved the bird on me! It was pretty funny! Shelby is enthralled with the bird but will not get very close!

Hogal Zoo June 2008

Our trip to Hogal Zoo this year! We went with the Gleed family! Nic wasn't able to go he was camping in the rain at camp Bartlett with the scouts! We missed him though!

Nic and Shelby! Shelby thinks she is so big because she has the reins in her hands! Nic is actually leading the horse with a lead rope!

Colby and his horse Honey! Notice the saddle; as Colby gets older and bigger I loose more things to him! Just kidding! But that is my saddle that he is riding! He is too big for a kids saddle and not big enough to fit in any of his dad's saddles, so we made a few extra holes in the stirrups for him. It fits him pretty good!

This is one of Nic's favorite pictures, so I thought that I would put it up for him! This is last fall up at the farm checking fences before we get the cows off the range!

Minor League!

Colby has become quite the little ball player! He made the Allstar team this year! He is really excited!
